Police and paramedics have descended on a Stoke-on-Trent street this afternoon. Pictures from Bambury Street, in Adderley Green, show three police cars and two ambulances at the scene.

StokeonTrentLive was alerted to the incident at 3.25pm this afternoon. An air ambulance has landed at the height of the emergency services response.

One StokeonTrentLive reader said: "Bambury Street has been closed off."

A second reader added: "There was a man lying outside a doorway surrounded by the police until the paramedics arrived."

StokeonTrentLive has approached Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service for statements regarding this unfolding incident. Any witnesses can call the police on 101.
