CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — A woman has been arrested and charged after a Sunday shooting left an adult woman injured.

The incident occurred just before 11 a.m. at the Thunderbird Motel located at 4015 Ogeechee Road. When officers from the Chatham County Police Department arrived, they found an adult female with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Detectives determined that the shooter and the victim knew each other. The shooter was found in a nearby wooded area shortly after.

The shooter was identified as 39-year-old Jocelyn Comacho. She has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and giving a false name.

The victim was hospitalized after the incident.
