A newborn baby was found abandoned on a subway platform in Midtown Manhattan’s Penn Station during Monday morning’s rush hour, police said.
The infant was discovered conscious and alert at the bottom of a staircase on the busy platform for the No. 1, 2 and 3 subway lines about 9:30 a.m., police said.
Medics took the baby, who was conscious and alert, to Bellevue Hospital for observation.
Cops have not yet located the parents or been able to identify the baby. Originally Published: October 20, 2025 at 11:05 AM EDT
