Free-speech advocates believe President Donald Trump's previous executive orders might lead to more book banning in Rutherford County on transgender topics.
Book issues related to gender ideology topics might emerge when the Rutherford County Library System Board meets at 5 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Rutherford County Courthouse in downtown Murfreesboro.
Library Board Chairman Cody York told The Daily News Journal that library officials will discuss possible policy changes without making any final decisions Oct. 20. Final decisions on policy could be made by the next meeting, which is scheduled at 5 p.m. Dec. 1 at Murfreesboro City Hall in council chambers.
