SANTA CLARA -- Fred Warner is a loss you can't just simply move on from. The heart and soul of an entire franchise unfortunately isn't something that can be replaced, but the cruel reality of the NFL is someone still gets left to pick up the pieces and step into shoes that nobody on Earth properly can fill.

Yet for 60 minutes on Sunday night, a hungry, young group of linebackers missing a household name did exactly that with the eyes of the nation upon them.

Warner wasn't on the field, but the All-Pro's impact and guidance still played a major role in the 49ers' 20-10 prime-time win over the Atlanta Falcons on "Sunday Night Football."
