Pakistan-linked drug syndicate busted; 3.5 Kg heroin seized, one held

Ferozepur, October 20, 2025: In a major breakthrough against cross-border narcotics smuggling, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Ferozepur Range has exposed a Pakistan-based organized narco syndicate and recovered 3.5 kg of heroin.

The key handler of the network, Baljit Singh alias Kaka, linked to a notorious Pakistan-based smuggler, has been arrested. He was actively involved in pushing heroin consignments into Ferozepur and adjoining areas.

An FIR under the NDPS Act has been registered, and further investigations are underway to unearth the forward and backward linkages of the syndicate.

Punjab Police reiterated its firm commitment to dismantling organized drug networks and ensuring the safety of the youth.
