SIKESTON, Mo. (KFVS) - Sikeston First United Methodist Church is hosting a free community outreach event on Friday, October 24.

The church is hosting its second Project Connect from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Organizers say vendors and service providers will be offering free services including employment information, legal assistance, screenings, haircuts and more.

They say the SEMO Food Bank mobile pantry will also be supplying free groceries starting at 10 a.m., while supplies last.

According to church leaders, this event is modeled after Project Hope in Cape Girardeau and that nearly 300 people participated in Project Connect in 2024.
