Delaware Department of Correction says Plummer closure will save money

For more than a century, the Plummer Community Corrections Center has stood on Wilmington’s north side as a bridge between incarceration and freedom. Residents of the institution are typically low-risk individuals on work release or participating in treatment programs. In this modest facility, justice-involved Delawareans could work, save money and slowly rebuild their lives.

Now, that bridge is scheduled to close.
