WESTFIELD, Ind. (WNDU) - Penn High School won Indiana’s first-ever girls flag football state championship over the weekend.
The Kingsmen hoisted the championship trophy on Saturday night after winning three games in the same day down in Westfield.
They defeated Terre Haute South 30-18 in the quarterfinals, beat Fort Wayne Snider 28-6 in the semifinals and won the championship over Lawrence North 35-12.
According to our reporting partners at the South Bend Tribune , Penn finished the season with a perfect 13-0 record. They scored an average of 42 points per game while only giving up an average of four points per game.
