SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Two people were arrested in Springfield for allegedly riding dirt bikes and quads illegally on Sunday.

Officers were conducting an anti-Off-Highway-Vehicle detail on Saturday to deter the people from illegally riding dirt bikes and other off-highway vehicles, according to the Springfield Police Department. These vehicles are illegal to ride on any city street and have led to serious injuries and death to several riders. Also, these riders are know to drive recklessly, which puts pedestrians and other vehicular traffic in danger.
