Phone call threat prompts lockdown at Canton Local Schools

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Canton Local Schools had a brief lockdown Monday after the district received a threatening phone call.

The call was targeting Canton South High School, according to the district.

School officials said police immediately launched an investigation and have since determined there was no credible threat.

The lockdown was lifted ahead of 1 p.m. and operations are back to normal.
