SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - A quad and a dirt bike were both taken off of Springfield streets during off-highway-vehicle enforcement across the city last weekend.
Police arrested 30-year-old Jerson De La Rosa-Jimenez around 1:30 p.m. Saturday after he was seen popping wheelies and riding his dirt bike recklessly in the area of Randall Place. While his bike was street legal, the rider didn’t have a motorcycle license and was arrested and his bike was seized.
Just over an hour later, in that same area, officers got more complaints about more illegal activity and arrested 61-year-old Scott Roberts. He was riding a quad on Randall Place and in the woods without a helmet or a license, prompting his arrest and the seizure of that quad.
