MADISON (WKOW) — A driver was arrested following a series of incidents Sunday involving a bicycle accident and a vehicle stuck on railroad tracks, according to Madison police.
Authorities responded to the intersection of Williamson Street and Blount Street after a bicyclist was side-swiped by a vehicle.
The cyclist was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Later, officers found a vehicle stuck on the tracks near Paterson Street.
The driver, Malkin Peres, showed signs of intoxication and was believed to be connected to the bicycle accident, police said.
Peres was arrested for second offense operating a motor vehicle while impaired, operating without a license, hit and run causing injury, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Madison police.
