Verijet, a private luxury jet airline , filed for bankruptcy in Florida’s Southern District Court weeks after the death of founder Richard Kane and multiple lawsuits.
Verijet is over $38.7 million in debt and all operations and flights are cancelled, according to reports from Forbes . The airline filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, meaning the company will be liquidated.
Verijet launched in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They only did short-distance flights within the U.S. until 2023 when the airline started flying internationally. That year, Verijet ranked as the 13th-largest U.S. private jet operator .
