INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a woman was found dead in an east Indianapolis hotel room Saturday morning.

According to IMPD, around 10:30 a.m. Oct. 18, officers responded to a report of a death investigation at a hotel in the 2300 block of North Post Road , near East 25th Street and Interstate 70.

When officers arrived on scene, they said they found a woman unresponsive in a hotel room. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Marion County Coroner's Office identified the woman as 36-year-old Karissa Ann Ramsey. They also determined her death was a homicide.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and are currently investigating.

At this time, there is no information about a possible suspect or motive.
