UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV) -- After a mild, almost springlike weekend, fall is making a comeback this week with cooler, breezier, and at times damp weather! Showers will come and go, with some breaks of dry weather in between, but sunshine will be limited. Despite the gray skies, the extra rain will actually be a good thing, helping to make up for the recent rainfall deficit — Utica is still running more than an inch below average for the month.
Tonight, a brief ridge of high pressure will try to move in, bringing some clearing. Tuesday should be the pick of the week — a bit brighter, calmer, and more comfortable before clouds start to increase again late in the day as another system approaches from the west.
