Joe Jonas may be alluding to claims that Taylor Swift copied Jonas Brothers music in her most recent album, The Life Of A Showgirl.

Jonas, 36, offered a lukewarm response to questions about his ex-girlfriend’s 12th album as mixed reviews continue to pour in, including fan speculation that one of Swift’s songs sounds eerily similar to a Jonas Brothers track.

“I’ve heard some of it,” Jonas told Esquire. Jonas famously dated Swift when they were teenagers and, later, Swift formed a close friendship with his ex-wife, Sophie Turner. “I think she’s obviously the biggest artist out there, and I think it’s good. Everybody’s got an opinion about it, but from what I’ve heard, there are some catchy melodies.”

The reference to “catchy melodies” may be a subtle response to the titular track on Swift
