LAWRENCE — That Kansas basketball guard Jayden Dawson didn’t play during Friday’s Late Night in the Phog scrimmage, didn’t come as much of a surprise.
A couple of days prior, KU coach Bill Self outlined Dawson had been dealing with a sore knee. Although he didn’t think the senior was dealing with anything major, he detailed Dawson had been off and on for the past week. Overall, Self thought the team was pretty fortunate from a health standpoint.
So, the fact that redshirt sophomore guard Elmarko Jackson and freshman forward Bryson Tiller both participated in the scrimmage garnered more attention.
