MUNCIE, IN — A crash on Interstate 69 north of the Indiana 332 exit in Delaware County resulted in the southbound lanes being closed to traffic.
The Delaware County Sheriff's Department described the crash — reported at 1:08 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20 — as "serious" and indicated a Lifeline helicopter was flown to the scene, presumably to fly those injured to an Indianapolis hospital.
The crash was reported near the 243-mile marker, two miles north of the Indiana 332 exit.
Dispatchers said they believed southbound traffic was again moving on the interstate as of shortly after 3 p.m.
Indiana State Police are investigating the accident.
