BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing a manslaughter charge after authorities say the victim in an alleged physical fight has died.

According to a uniform citation, a Bowling Green officer was flagged down just before 3 a.m. Saturday by multiple people in the 100 block of Saint Charles Street.

Police say they were told two subjects had been in a physical fight.

Authorities say one subject involved was lying on the ground. The other subject, identified as 25-year-old Jarred Brown of Bowling Green, spoke to police.

Police say Brown stated the subject had approached him before Brown stated he shoved the subject “off of him and the victim then punched him in the head,” leading to a physical altercation.
