BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The newly renovated Reservoir Hill playground officially opened on Monday with a Block Party hosted by Bowling Green Parks and Recreation.
Parks and Rec, Bowling Green Police Department, and other local officials came together to enjoy some good food, free ice cream, and to see what the new and improved playground has to offer.
The new playground is considerably bigger than what was there previously, as the old one was about a third of the size of what is there now, with a lot more new play sets to enjoy.
Parks and Rec also honored the history of Reservoir Hill by adding the wooden split rail fences to keep the historical accuracy, as Fort Smith once stood where the park is now.
