Several businesses in Jacksonville’s 5 Points neighborhood have fallen victim to a series of break-ins, with the latest target being a popular local coffee shop that sustained thousands in damage.
BREW Five Points, a fixture in the community for 11 years, said the business was left with approximately $3,000 in property damage after burglars shattered windows and stole cash
Despite the damage, the coffee shop remained open for business, with staff quickly cleaning up the debris.
“In all the 11 years, there is a first time for everything,” the business posted on Instagram, detailing the break-in and damage to the shop.
