Details are starting to come out about the death of former NFL All-Pro running back Doug Martin.

The 36-year-old was in police custody at the time of his death, according to a report from the East Bay Times.

Citing sources, the East Bay Times says that Doug Martin was in Oakland Police custody early Saturday morning after reports of a home break-in in the area.

According to the report, police responded to a break-in at a home near the Oakland Zoo at approximately 4:15 a.m. Saturday. “Simultaneously," police were notified that the suspected burglar was having “a medical emergency,” according to the report.
