DETROIT — The Detroit Lions have officially activated key defensive lineman Alim McNeill off the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list ahead of their Monday night matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Ford Field.
McNeill, 25, has been away from the team since Week 15 of last season when he tore his ACL in a loss against the Buffalo Bills, ending a productive season with 25 total tackles and 3.5 sacks.
After 10 months of recovery and rehab , McNeill is set to get back on the field, though likely somewhat limited as he continues to get his feet back under him.
The Lions also made two key elevations from the practice squad in safety Loren Strickland and veteran cornerback Tre Flowers.
Strickland was with the team against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5 and played 17 snaps entirely
