POWELL, Tenn. — An 18-year-old accused of crashing into a Powell home and causing it to partially collapse appeared in court on Monday in Knox County.

Jayden Ingersoll was accused of driving more than 100 mph before crashing into the home on Fieldstone Farms Lane on Oct. 13. Records showed two passengers in the vehicle asked the 18-year-old to slow down before the crash.

No one was hurt, but Rural Metro Fire said the home was heavily damaged.

Ingersoll was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and vandalism.

Rural Metro Public Information Officer Jeff Bagwell said crews responded to the crash around 11 p.m. that Monday.
