Man arrested following a traffic stop in Saratoga Springs. New York State Police discover more than 16 pounds of controlled substances.

On Tuesday October 14, 2025 at approximately 6:25pm, New York State Police stopped a vehicle traveling on I-87 in Saratoga Springs. Initially this vehicle was stopped for a Vehicle and Traffic violation. During the investigation Troopers found much more.

As Troopers conducted their investigation, with the assistance of State Police K9 “J,” they discovered multiple vacuum-sealed bags located in the vehicle. These bags contained approximately 16 pounds controlled substances known as Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) and approximately two pounds of the substances contained Fluorofentanyl.
