AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Amarillo Botanical Gardens will host its first-ever Trail of 1,000 Jack-O-Lanterns event.
On Oct. 22-25, there will be carnival concessions, food trucks and games for all ages.
In preparation, volunteers have been working to carve enough pumpkins to cover the entirety of the trail.
Amarillo Botanical Gardens director Greg Lusk says events like this wouldn’t be possible without strong community involvement.
“We just keep community in mind and we like to incorporate them. Volunteers are very important to us here at the gardens. We have them throughout the year and especially for events like this,” said Lusk.
Tickets for the event at the botanical gardens will be available at the gate.
General admission is $10. Kids ages five and under get in for free.
