WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Two men have been charged in connection with the fatal overdose of a 15-year-old.

Isaac Hord and Niklas Wiley, both 24, made their first court appearance on Monday. They are charged with first-degree murder and aggravated child endangerment.

Both men are being held on a $1 million bond and are due back in court on Nov. 3.

Just before 8 a.m. on Sept. 14, officers with the Wichita Police Department responded to a report of a deceased 15-year-old. The death was determined to be the result of a drug overdose.

One month later, officers with K-9s arrested Hord in connection to the case. Wiley was already in custody at the time, having been arrested in September in a separate case, according to the Sedgwick County online inmate search.
