DEVILS LAKE, N.D. — Former Devils Lake police officer Rey Hennen faces seven new charges, according to the North Dakota Attorney General's Office.
The charges, filed Monday, Oct. 20, include abuse of power as a police officer and stem from a sexual assault investigation that began at Hennen's home in September after police received a 911 hangup call.
Court documents allege Hennen sexually assaulted a woman on multiple occasions dating back to 2019. In one incident, a baby was present on the bed.
During a six-hour standoff in September , Hennen is accused of holding a baby in one hand and a gun in the other while threatening to kill himself.
