CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -A building that has been abandoned for more than a decade continues to deteriorate in a Cleveland neighborhood, with residents expressing safety concerns about the partially collapsed structure.

The building, located near the corner of St. Clair Avenue and East 61st Street, shows significant damage from the street, but the rear of the structure is literally falling down, an opening stretching from the second floor, the foundation.

Edward Turk, who owns the building next door, said he has been asking for help with the property for years.

“I’m just asking for help,” Turk said.

Multiple ownership changes since abandonment

Turk said the building has been abandoned since 2008 and has changed hands multiple times, with each new owner unable to complete repairs.
