CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb made a passionate plea to Cleveland City Council on Monday to accept a deal he had negotiated with the Haslam Sports Group that would open the door for the Browns to build an indoor stadium in Brook Park.
Bibb negotiated a one hundred million dollar deal with the Haslam’s that would include the Haslam Group tearing down the stadium and helping to pay, partially, for the Lakefront Development.
The legislation to accept the deal was introduced to council on Monday evening.
First, that legislation will land on the desks of multiple departments of the Bibb administration to be approved and that process is expected to be on a fast track.
