Denver Broncos linebacker Dre Greenlaw has been sent back to the sidelines, but this time for a far more bizarre reason.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Dre Greenlaw has been suspended one game for an unsportsmanlike conduct act toward referee Brad Allen. According to Rapoport, Greenlaw confronted Allen after Sunday’s 33-32 win over the New York Giants and “verbally threatened him as he tried to leave the field.”

So one day after making his Denver debut, Greenlaw will be absent again when the Broncos host the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday.

Greenlaw signed a $31.5 million contract with the Broncos in free agency, but missed their first six games recovering from a quad injury he suffered in the offseason. He made his long-awaited Broncos debut against the Giants and had six combined tackles,
