The Alzheimer’s Association, Northeastern New York chapter will host its 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Cooperstown on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Clark Sports Center. Participants may check in beginning at 10 a.m. with an opening ceremony at 11 a.m. The walk will begin immediately following the opening ceremony.
According to a news release from the Alzheimer's Association, on the day of the walk, "participants honor those affected by Alzheimer’s with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony — a mission-focused experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease." During the ceremony, walkers will carry flowers of various colors, each color representing their personal connection to the disease.
