LEXINGTON — Kentucky basketball begins the 2025-26 season against Nicholls at Rupp Arena on Nov. 4.

But following UK's Big Blue Madness event and the Blue-White game — its annual intrasquad scrimmage — the program gets a taste of something different. Instead of facing overmatched schools from smaller divisions in preseason exhibitions, the Wildcats host a pair of power conference opponents. First is Purdue on Oct. 24; Georgetown is scheduled Oct. 30.
