ST. PAUL, Minn. (GRAY) – Representative Kristin Robbins (R-Maple Grove) is one of a handful of Republican candidates for Minnesota’s 2026 gubernatorial race. Robbins will look to be the GOP nominee in a November election against incumbent Governor Tim Walz (DFL-Minnesota).

On Monday, the fourth term representative announced a fraud prevention platform that will be a “top priority” in her run for Governor.

“That’s why I’m here,” Robbins said. ”Because we have a plan to stop fraud. Everyone wants to get on the ‘Oh, we’re fighting fraud’ bandwagon, but this is how we’re actually going to stop it.”

Robbins chairs the Minnesota House’s Fraud Prevention and Oversight Committee, the only Republican-led committee in the legislature in the current legislative biennium.
