A Teesside nurse is back saving lives after a crucial intervention from her local Specsavers optician saved her sight. Nicola Taylor, who was struggling with her peripheral vision, was referred to The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough earlier this year after being examined by optometrist at Specsavers.
During the eye test, Hartlepool Specsavers optometrist Craig Walker identified a worrying blind spot in Nicola’s right eye - a finding that led to the discovery of a tumour pressing on her optic nerve.
