Delaware State University is giving a break to students and families who have been impacted by the federal government shutdown.
DSU President Tony Allen said the university will temporarily defer remaining payments for the Fall 2025 semester for qualifying students. Documentation of direct impact from the shutdown would be required. Applications will be reviewed by a team of DSU officials.
Allen made the announcement Sunday at the Newark NAACP Chapter Freedom Fund Annual Dinner.
“Through no fault of their own, too many families have been directly impacted by the shutdown.
