A shelter-in-place issued for residents near Chestnut Grove Road and South Fileys Road in Carroll Township, York County, has been lifted as of 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, police announced.

The order was put in place earlier Monday evening as officers searched for a wanted person who fled on foot, resulting in the advisory for residents to stay inside.

The Carroll Township Police Department said the case remains an active investigation and more details will be released when available.
