Bishop Hendricken solidified its spot atop Division I, East Greenwich showed its mettle in Division II and Burrillville remains the class of Division III.

That was the boys soccer story in the state last week. The Hawks, Avengers and Broncos would all claim No. 1 seeds in their respective playoff brackets if the season ended today.

Bishop Hendricken turned on the style in the second half to shut out Moses Brown, 4-0, and hand the Quakers a first defeat. They followed with wins over Classical and Bishop Feehan (Mass.) by a combined score of 10-1. Central and Central Catholic (Mass.) are the last two schools who offer the Hawks any sort of stumble before November arrives.
