DES MOINES, Iowa -- It was a breezy day, but a rehearsal for what's to come tomorrow. Peak wind gusts are below. Most of these were a product of the warm, southerly flow we had over the state today. The northwesterly gusts out west were the product of a cold front which brought rain to the state today and will help produce a cooler Tuesday.

We managed to warm up over Sunday today, before the aforementioned front began to pull temps down. Your weather timeline takes you through a windy, cooler Tuesday.

A wind advisory will be in effect for northern Iowa for part of the day tomorrow. Gusts will exceed 40mph at times, and a few light showers are possible.

The rest of the work week through Friday looks mild and dry. Rain chances start to increase Sunday, and do so in earnest next Monday.
