ST. CHARLES, Mo. (First Alert 4) -As the state of Missouri prepares to spend $600 million on the stretch of Interstate 70 between Warrenton and Wentzville, a state representative is looking for ways to make ongoing construction zones safer.
State Representative Tricia Byrnes said she plans to ride with MODOT through the stretch of roadway from Foristell to the I-64/I-70 interchange on Tuesday in an effort to highlight concerns from everyday drivers.
“We’re going to drive it and we’re going to look or areas where police could sit that it would be safe, we’re going to look if we need more signage and where,” she said. “I want them to see it as a daily driver, not as a traffic engineer.”
