Documents related to UNC football and coach Bill Belichick 's involvement in a documentary series about the Tar Heels’ football program reveal EverWonder Studio was going to pay the university $250,000.

According to 27 pages detailing UNC's agreement with EverWonder Studio, which was obtained by the USA TODAY Network through a public records request, the docuseries was “contingent upon Coach Belichick’s participation.”

Both UNC and EverWonder had the right to terminate the agreement if Belichick “does not provide EverWonder with the necessary permissions,” according to a contract signed by the university’s vice chancellor for finance and operations and EverWonder’s CEO on Aug. 11.
