SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Six people are in custody after shots were reportedly fired at a house party in the East Valley early Monday morning.

It happened at about 1:40 a.m., when Scottsdale Police officers responded to a house party near 70th Street and Belleview Street , near McDowell Road, after reports of shots fired.

Officers saw multiple vehicles leaving the party when they pulled up, and Arizona Department of Public Safety state troopers stopped a suspect vehicle near 25th Avenue and Dunlap Road in Phoenix, about 19 miles away from the house party.

All six passengers, whose identities have not been released, were detained and transported to Scottsdale City Jail for their suspected involvement, according to police. Authorities reported finding a handgun inside the vehicle.
