IKEA has launched the Phone Sleep Collection in the United Arab Emirates, offering miniature beds designed to hold smartphones overnight as part of an initiative to reduce screen time before sleep.

Developed by Dubai’s Memac Ogilvy, the miniature beds replicate IKEA’s full-sized furniture aesthetic with clean lines, simple construction, cushions, and blankets scaled to smartphone dimensions.

The concept addresses the widespread habit of keeping phones bedside, where screen glow disrupts sleep quality.

Each bed contains an embedded tracking chip.

Users press their phone against it at bedtime, automatically launching the IKEA app to log the start time without manual input.

The app records consecutive nights of phone separation, gamifying the digital detox process.
