WATERBURY, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - A long-standing program for LGBTQ+ victims of violence is staying around.

The Vermont Network, a group of 15 organizations that "provide domestic and sexual violence advocacy to survivors of violence in Vermont," announced Monday that it will keep the SafeSpace Anti-Violence Program going.

This comes as the Pride Center of Vermont (PCVT), which has run the program since 2007, recently announced an indefinite pause of its operations. PCVT has said that without an additional $350,000 in funding, they will not be able to return to full services.

According to PCVT, the SafeSpace program helps LGBTQ+ survivors of violence with support groups and advocacy throughout the Green Mountain State. More information can be found at PCVT's website.
