Detroit — Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs is off to one heck of a start on "Monday Night Football."

Gibbs, who ripped off several big plays to help the Lions ' offense get started, housed a 78-yard touchdown run to give Detroit a 14-0 lead with 5:51 left in the second quarter.

At the half, Gibbs had 107 yards rushing on 11 carries (9.7 average) and 54 receiving yards on two catches.

The touchdown drive actually started quite poorly, compared to some other Lions drives on the night that have not resulted in points. Offensive tackle Taylor Decker was flagged for a false-start penalty before the drive's first snap, and wide receiver Kalif Raymond was flagged for an illegal block in the back on Detroit's first play.
