POWHATAN, Va. (WWBT) - Powhatan County Public Schools immediately reported to police on Monday morning after receiving a message of a possible bomb threat.
Officials made the call to police around 8:15 a.m. after the threat came in at the Pocahontas Landmark Center.
The sheriff’s office worked with VSP to search the campus with the help of K-9 detection units.
All buildings were cleared and police found the threats to be unfounded.
During the investigation, officials determined the message came from an IP address overseas.
