The San Francisco 49ers beating the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football has given the Seattle Seahawks some extra pressure on Monday Night Football against the Houston Texans. Lose and they’re virtually two games back of the 49ers, win and they’re at least tied through Week 8 with a chance to get first place through a Texans win over the 49ers next week.

Of course, the sub-plot is Seattle’s home field advantage, which has been a disadvantage for several seasons. After the promise of improving upon last year’s horrendous 3-6 home mark, the thought of possibly starting 1-3 at Lumen Field this year would be very sour. They need to win these games and they need to recapture what made Lumen Field a vaunted place to play.
