KANSAS CITY, Mo. —

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Monday that general manager Brett Veach is handling all matters involving offensive lineman Josh Simmons.

Simmons, the Chiefs' first round draft pick of the 2025 draft, started the first five games of the season at left tackle. Advertisement

He missed the previous two games against the Raiders and Lions.

“As far as Josh goes, I don’t have any updates for you,” Reid said. “Veach is handling everything there. We’ll just move on with that.”

Reid did not elaborate on Simmons’ status or timeline for a return.

The rookie tackle has been away from the team for unknown reasons.
