NEW HAVEN, Conn. — New Haven announced Monday they are joining their third lawsuit against the Trump administration, over what the mayor said is an attempt to impose "unlawful and unrelated conditions on federal emergency and disaster preparedness funds."
Back in August, New Haven leaders applied for a grant that would fund upgraded cameras and camera systems at their port. They were approved for a partial grant of $93,597 through FEMA’s Port Security Grant Program, or PSGP. The mayor's office said several of their port cameras and related servers are nearing the end of their useful life and need to be upgraded and replaced.
While they were approved for the grant, Elicker said New Haven would have to first sign an agreement with the Trump administration, vowing to a list of requirement
